 Malaria can be a very serious and potentially fatal disease. It is widespread throughout the tropics and sub tropics, occurring in over 100 countries of the world.

Symptoms can include flu-like symptoms, fever, nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea. It is estimated that up to 40% of the world’s population is at risk from contracting malaria.

For most people symptoms can begin to show after 10 to 30 days after infection, but can manifest themselves up to a year later.

On the Fitfortravel website you will need to select which countries you will be travelling to. The destinations box is at the bottom of the homepage on the left hand side.

Once you select your destination you will be advised of which malaria tablets you need for that location. The information you need will be towards the bottom of the page, along with other advice and warnings.

Repeat the process for each destination you are planning to visit. Remember to make a note of the type of malaria pills advised.
